A-Level Geography (AQA 7037) is a linear qualification balancing physical and human geography, with compulsory study of water and carbon cycles and changing places, a choice of optional units, and a fieldwork-based Non-Exam Assessment (NEA) independent investigation, examined by two terminal papers at the end of two years. The course develops systems thinking, place-based understanding, statistical analysis and fieldwork skills. It is a popular facilitating subject for geography, environmental science, urban planning, geology, international development, sociology and earth science applicants.
