OCR A-Level Economics (H060/H460) was a linear two-year course covering microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics and development. OCR A-Level has moved to a linear structure since 2015, so all exams were taken at the end of the course. However, OCR withdrew the specification after the final assessment in 2018 and no longer offers an A-Level Economics qualification. Candidates wishing to study A-Level Economics should choose an alternative exam board such as AQA (7136), Pearson Edexcel (9EC0/9EB1) or CAIE (9708).

A-Level Economics is a key subject for economics, finance, accounting, business administration, public policy, international relations, politics and sociology. Most UK economics and finance programmes recommend or require A-Level Economics. As OCR no longer offers this qualification, candidates should select AQA (7136), Pearson Edexcel (9EC0/9EB1) or CAIE (9708) instead. The course content and university progression are equivalent across boards, developing data analysis, diagrammatic reasoning and argumentation skills.
