OCR A-Level History (H505) is a linear two-year course assessed by three written papers and one coursework unit at the end of Year 13. OCR A-Level has moved to a linear structure since 2015, so all exams are taken at the end of the course. The specification combines a British period study, a non-British period study, a thematic study over 100+ years and a historical interpretation topic, plus a coursework essay on a topic of the candidate's choice. A facilitating subject for history, law, PPE, international relations, journalism and the humanities.
