有机化学研究碳化合物的结构、性质、合成和反应。课程涵盖烷烃、烯烃、炔烃、芳香烃、卤代烃、醇酚醚、醛酮、羧酸及其衍生物、含氮化合物等各类有机化合物的命名、结构与反应机理。重点讲解亲电加成、亲核取代、消除反应、氧化还原等基本反应类型,以及立体化学、有机波谱分析和有机合成设计等内容。

Organic Chemistry studies the structure, properties, synthesis, and reactions of carbon compounds. The course covers nomenclature, structure, and reaction mechanisms of alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, aromatics, alkyl halides, alcohols, phenols, ethers, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids and derivatives, and nitrogen compounds. Key topics include electrophilic addition, nucleophilic substitution, elimination, redox reactions, stereochemistry, spectroscopy, and synthesis design.

Students design a multi-step synthesis route for aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) starting from phenol. Research and compare different methods including traditional sulfuric acid catalysis, solid acid catalysis, and microwave-assisted synthesis. Draw complete reaction mechanisms, calculate theoretical yields and atom economy for each step, propose green chemistry improvements, and write a detailed synthesis report.
