Building on the principles course, this course uses mathematical methods to deepen the analysis of microeconomic theory. Topics include utility theory and consumer choice, production theory and cost functions, perfectly competitive market equilibrium, monopoly and oligopoly theory, introductory game theory, general equilibrium and welfare economics, and basics of information economics. The course emphasizes developing students' mathematical analytical skills.
