Digital Media Production

This course teaches the complete workflow of digital media content production: planning, shooting, editing, and distribution. Students learn pre-production techniques including videography, composition, lighting, and sound recording, as well as post-production skills like nonlinear editing, color grading, visual effects, and subtitle design. The course also covers emerging formats like short video, podcasting, and interactive media. Extensive hands-on practice builds proficiency with professional software and independent production capabilities.
学生以小组为单位，创作一部5-8分钟的纪录短片或一个3集系列短视频。要求自行确定主题，完成选题策划、脚本撰写、实地拍摄、后期剪辑的完整制作流程。作品需具备完整的叙事结构、良好的视听语言和一定的思想深度。除最终作品外，还需提交制作计划书、分镜脚本、拍摄日志和创作说明。最后进行作品展示和互评。
Student teams create a 5-8 minute documentary short or a 3-episode short video series. Requirements include self-selected topic, complete production workflow from topic planning and scriptwriting to on-location shooting and post-production editing. Works must have complete narrative structure, quality audiovisual language, and thematic depth. Deliverables include the final work, production plan, storyboard, shooting log, and creative statement, followed by screening and peer review.
