本课程深入探讨媒介与社会的关系,系统介绍主要的媒介理论流派和经典研究。课程涵盖媒介技术决定论、媒介生态学、议程设置理论、涵化理论、使用与满足理论、框架理论、政治经济学派、文化研究学派等核心理论,探讨媒介对认知、态度、行为和社会结构的影响。学生将通过阅读经典文献和当代案例,批判性地分析媒介在现代社会中的角色和作用,提升理论思辨能力。
This course explores the relationship between media and society, systematically introducing major media theory schools and classic studies. Coverage includes technological determinism, media ecology, agenda-setting, cultivation theory, uses and gratifications, framing theory, political economy, and cultural studies. Students examine media's impact on cognition, attitudes, behavior, and social structure through classic readings and contemporary cases, developing critical theoretical thinking abilities.
学生选择一个媒介理论,对当代某一具体媒介现象进行深入的理论分析。可选主题包括:社交媒体的议程设置效应、短视频平台的涵化效果、算法推荐对信息茧房的影响、网络舆论的框架效应等。要求清晰阐述理论框架,进行实证观察或案例分析,讨论理论在新媒介环境下的适用性和局限性。论文不少于3000字,需引用至少10篇学术文献。
Students select one media theory to conduct an in-depth theoretical analysis of a specific contemporary media phenomenon. Topics may include agenda-setting effects in social media, cultivation effects of short video platforms, algorithmic recommendation and filter bubbles, or framing effects in online public opinion. Requirements include clear theoretical framework, empirical observation or case analysis, and discussion of the theory's applicability and limitations in new media environments.
