Color Theory and Practice

This combined theory and practice course systematically studies the scientific principles and artistic applications of color. Topics include basic color theory, color wheel, hue, value, saturation, color contrast and harmony, and color psychology. Through extensive mixing exercises, color composition experiments, and color coordination design projects, students build a scientific understanding of color systems. The course emphasizes practical application in painting, design, and digital art.
学生需创作一组6幅色彩构成作品，每幅尺寸30x30厘米，分别表达六种不同的情感或情绪主题。作品需运用色彩理论中的对比、调和、冷暖、明暗等原理，通过抽象或半具象的形式传达情感内涵。学生需提交色彩研究报告，说明每幅作品的色彩方案设计依据、理论运用和情感传达策略。作品需展现对色彩语言的深入理解和创造性运用能力。
Students create a series of six color composition works, each 30x30cm, expressing six different emotional or mood themes. Using contrast, harmony, warm-cool relationships, and value principles from color theory, the works convey emotional content through abstract or semi-representational forms. Students submit a color research report explaining each work's color scheme design rationale, theoretical application, and emotional communication strategy.
