This introductory sculpture course covers the fundamental theories and practices of three-dimensional form-building. Topics include clay modeling, wood carving, stone carving, and metal welding, with focus on form construction, spatial relationships, material expression, and surface treatment. Through portrait clay work, figure sketches, and abstract composition exercises, students develop three-dimensional thinking. The course emphasizes perception and expression of space, volume, and texture.
学生需创作一尊等比例人体雕塑，高度约60-80厘米，使用黏土或综合材料。要求准确表现人体比例、骨骼肌肉结构与动态姿态，同时融入个人艺术表现。学生需先完成小稿设计，经教师评审后进行放大制作。作品需展现对三维形体的把控能力和对材料特性的理解，并附创作说明阐述设计理念、人体解剖研究过程与艺术表达方向。
Students create a life-scale human figure sculpture, approximately 60-80cm in height, using clay or mixed media. The work must accurately depict human proportions, skeletal and muscular structure, and dynamic posture, while incorporating personal artistic expression. Students first complete maquette designs, which are reviewed before enlargement. The project demonstrates three-dimensional form mastery and material understanding, accompanied by an artist statement.
