Step 1

• Select physiological system for study: choose from cardiovascular system (arterial blood pressure regulation, baroreflex, postural effects on BP/HR), respiratory system (pulmonary ventilation function, chemoreceptor reflex, respiratory regulation), nervous system (tendon reflex, muscle tone, pupillary light reflex), thermoregulation, renal function regulation; define research question and nursing application background
• Design experimental protocol: determine experimental purpose, principles, subjects (healthy volunteers or lab animals), groups and controls, procedures, observation indices and measurement methods; draw experimental flow chart; describe expected results and possible influencing factors

• Experiment and subject preparation: check equipment function, calibrate instruments, prepare supplies; explain experiment to subjects, obtain informed consent; collect subject baseline information (age, sex, height/weight, health status); exclude factors affecting results (strenuous exercise, smoking, caffeine, medications); ensure subjects are rested and relaxed
• Standardized experimental operation: strictly follow procedures: e.g., BP measurement (correct position, cuff placement, inflation/deflation speed), ECG recording (standard 12-lead placement, EMG artifact elimination), pulmonary function test (correct breathing maneuver, calibration), reflex testing (correct stimulation site and intensity); measure each index 3 times and take average

• Write physiology lab report: following lab report standards including abstract, introduction, subjects and methods, results, discussion, conclusion, references; present data in figures and tables; discuss mechanisms in depth and compare with literature; discuss advantages/disadvantages and improvements; conclusion answers research question
• Nursing physiology thinking summary: summarize how to apply physiological thinking to nursing practice: e.g., understanding key points of condition observation from physiological mechanisms, predicting condition trends from regulatory patterns, judging effectiveness of interventions from functional assessment, optimizing nursing techniques from physiological principles; refine "physiology-pathology-nursing" thinking chain
• Knowledge application promotion: select one clinical nursing setting (ICU, geriatric nursing, emergency nursing); create a "nursing physiology key points" knowledge card or micro-course summarizing commonly used physiological knowledge and nursing applications for easy reference by clinical nurses
