Steps

Step 1
Young Children's Language Development Characteristics and Learner Analysis
The core task of this step is to deeply analyze language development characteristics and individual differences of young children in the selected age group, providing a scientific basis for language education activity design. Early childhood language development is a regular, staged process, from one-word sentences to multi-word sentences, from comprehension to expression, from dialogue to monologue, showing obvious age characteristics. Vygotsky believed that language is a tool of thought, and language development and cognitive development mutually promote each other.

• Use language development norm-referencing to analyze typical language development characteristics and key developmental indicators of children in the selected age group from four dimensions: phonology, vocabulary, grammar, and pragmatics
• Through observation, portfolio analysis, and assessment methods, evaluate children's actual developmental levels in four areas: listening and comprehension, expression and communication, early reading, and early writing
• Apply language sample analysis methods, collect children's natural language samples, conduct quantitative analyses such as Mean Length of Utterance (MLU), vocabulary diversity (MLT), and syntactic complexity, establishing baseline data
Deliverable: Young Children's Language Development Learner Analysis Report (including age development characteristics table, development level assessment, language sample analysis) | Quality standard: Accurate development characteristic description, comprehensive assessment dimensions, supported by empirical data
Step 2
Language Education Theme and Goal System Design
The core task of this step is to determine language education activity themes and construct a complete language education goal system. The core of early childhood language education is to cultivate children's language application abilities, including four aspects: listening, expression, reading, and writing preparation. Goal setting should be based on the language domain requirements of the "Guide to Learning and Development for Children Aged 3-6", embodying comprehensiveness and hierarchy.

• Starting from children's interests and life experiences, combined with seasonal changes, festival celebrations, and thematic inquiry opportunities, select language education themes that are situational, interesting, and integrative
• Based on language development patterns and Guide requirements, design a three-level goal system: general goals, age group goals, and activity goals, covering four sub-domains: listening comprehension, expression and communication, early reading, and early writing
• Apply Bloom's Taxonomy to categorize goals into cognitive, skill, and affective dimensions, ensuring each goal is observable, measurable, and evaluable
Deliverable: Language Education Themes and Goal System (including theme web, three-level goal system table, goal classification matrix) | Quality standard: Themes close to children's life, complete goal system, specific and measurable expressions
Step 3
Diversified Language Education Activity Design
The core task of this step is to design diversified language education activities to promote the comprehensive development of children's language abilities. Early childhood language education cannot rely solely on collective teaching but should develop language abilities through various approaches such as stories, nursery rhymes, conversation, narration, early reading, and early writing in rich language practice. The whole language education philosophy emphasizes the integrity and authenticity of language learning.

• Design various types of language activities including story teaching, nursery rhyme appreciation and creation, conversation activities, narration activities, early reading activities, and early writing preparation activities, forming a complementary activity system
• Each activity is designed with four stages: situation creation, perception and comprehension, expression and application, and expansion and extension, using questioning strategies, discussion methods, situational performance, and multimedia-assisted teaching methods
• Design layered guidance strategies, providing differentiated support and challenges for children with different language development levels, ensuring every child can develop on their existing basis
Deliverable: Language Education Activity Plan Collection (including 6-8 detailed plans of different types, activity type matrix, layered guidance strategies) | Quality standard: Rich and diverse activity types, scientific and effective stage design, thorough layered guidance
Step 4
Language Environment Creation and Reading Area Planning
The core task of this step is to create a rich and appropriate language environment and reading space, providing a supportive environment for children's language development. Language environment is an important condition for children's language acquisition; Piaget emphasized that language development requires rich language stimulation and interaction opportunities. The "hundred languages of children" in Reggio Emilia philosophy also emphasizes the importance of multi-expression environments.

• Plan the classroom reading area, equipping it with picture books, storybooks, audiobooks, and literacy cards according to age characteristics, considering the hierarchy, diversity, and attractiveness of materials
• Create a multi-dimensional language interaction environment, including language corner, story performance stage, sharing wall, and writing area, encouraging children to express their ideas through language, drawings, symbols, and other ways
• Build a warm, interactive, and supportive psychological language environment, establish good teacher-child conversation routines, encourage children to express boldly, listen carefully to peers, and form a positive language communication atmosphere
Deliverable: Language Environment Creation Plan (including reading area layout diagram, materials list, interactive environment design, psychological environment building strategies) | Quality standard: Rich and layered environment creation, appropriate materials, strong interactivity
Step 5
Language Development Evaluation and Teaching Reflection
The core task of this step is to establish a scientific language development evaluation system, systematically evaluate language education effects, and conduct reflective improvement. Early childhood language development evaluation should combine process-oriented and summative evaluation, focusing on children's actual language application abilities rather than rote memorization. Portfolio assessment is an effective method for evaluating children's language development.

• Construct a diversified evaluation system, comprehensively using observation, conversation, portfolio analysis, work sampling, and parent evaluation methods to comprehensively evaluate children's language development
• Design children's language development observation scales, formulating specific evaluation criteria and level descriptions from four dimensions: listening habits, expressive ability, reading interest, and writing preparation
• Establish language development portfolios, collecting children's language samples, narration recordings, reading records, and early writing works to track and record the trajectory and progress of children's language development
Deliverable: Language Development Evaluation and Teaching Improvement Report (including evaluation toolkit, portfolio design, evaluation result analysis, reflection improvement plan) | Quality standard: Scientific and diversified evaluation system, reasonable portfolio design, in-depth reflection with improvement measures
