This course explores theories and practices of curriculum development and instructional design. Curriculum topics include basic concepts, theoretical perspectives, curriculum goals, content selection and organization, implementation, and evaluation. Instructional topics include teaching processes, principles, models and methods, lesson design, assessment, and classroom management. Practical activities such as micro-teaching and lesson planning build teaching competence.

Students design a complete instructional unit for a K-12 subject, including unit goals, learner analysis, content organization, detailed lesson plans, teaching resources, and assessment strategies. The design should reflect current curriculum and instruction theories, emphasize student-centered learning, focus on core competency development, and include a teaching reflection.
