OCR A-Level Biology A (H420) is a linear two-year course assessed by three written papers at the end of Year 13, plus a teacher-assessed practical endorsement. OCR A-Level has moved to a linear structure since 2015, so all exams are taken at the end of the course. It is organised into six modules spanning foundations, exchange and transport, biodiversity and disease, communication and homeostasis, energy, and genetics, evolution and ecosystems.
