The IB History IA is an individual historical investigation worth 25% (SL) / 20% (HL) of the final grade. Students choose a historical research question, use primary and secondary sources, and produce a 1,500-2,000 word report covering plan, investigation, and reflection. Assessment criteria: research question and plan, investigation and evidence, critical reflection, source analysis, organization and presentation.
