Anthropological Theory
本课程系统梳理人类学理论的发展脉络，从古典进化论、传播论、功能主义、结构功能主义，到结构主义、象征人类学、阐释人类学、实践理论、后现代主义、本体论转向等当代理论流派。学生将研读泰勒、摩尔根、涂尔干、马林诺夫斯基、博厄斯、列维-斯特劳斯、格尔茨、布迪厄等核心理论家的经典著作，培养理论思维和学术批判能力，理解人类学理论与时代语境的关联。
This course systematically traces the development of anthropological theory, from classical evolutionism, diffusionism, functionalism, and structural-functionalism, to structuralism, symbolic anthropology, interpretive anthropology, practice theory, postmodernism, and the ontological turn. Students read seminal works by Tylor, Morgan, Durkheim, Malinowski, Boas, Lévi-Strauss, Geertz, Bourdieu, and other key theorists.
选择一部经典或当代民族志作品，运用本课程所学的至少两种人类学理论对其进行批判性重读和分析。撰写一篇5000字左右的学术论文，深入探讨不同理论视角如何塑造对同一文化现象的理解，反思理论的解释力与局限性，并结合当代人类学的理论转向提出自己的见解。
Select a classic or contemporary ethnography and critically re-read and analyze it using at least two anthropological theories covered in the course. Write a 5000-word academic paper exploring how different theoretical perspectives shape understanding of the same cultural phenomenon, reflecting on explanatory power and limitations, and offering original insights informed by contemporary theoretical turns in anthropology.
