本课程从全球视角考察人类历史的发展，突破传统民族国家的叙事框架，关注跨文化交流、贸易网络、移民流动、疾病传播、技术扩散、宗教传播等全球性议题。课程将探讨古代丝绸之路、大航海时代、殖民体系、全球化进程等主题，引导学生理解不同文明之间的相互联系与互动，培养全球性的历史思维。
This course examines human history from a global perspective, moving beyond traditional national narratives to focus on cross-cultural exchanges, trade networks, migration, disease transmission, technological diffusion, and religious spread. Topics include the ancient Silk Road, the Age of Exploration, colonial systems, and globalization processes, guiding students to understand interconnections and interactions among civilizations and develop a global historical perspective.
学生自选一个全球史专题（如丝绸之路上的文化交流、大航海时代的物种交换、近代劳工移民、全球化与地方化的张力等），运用全球史研究方法，追踪某一事物、观念或人群的跨区域流动与影响。论文约3500字，要求运用多地区史料，展现跨文化、跨区域的分析视野。
Students choose a global history topic (such as cultural exchange along the Silk Road, the Columbian Exchange, modern labor migration, or the tensions between globalization and localization), apply global history research methods, and trace the cross-regional movement and impact of a particular thing, idea, or group of people. The 3500-word paper should use multi-regional sources and demonstrate a cross-cultural, cross-regional analytical perspective.
