Research Methods in Political Science
本课程系统介绍政治科学的研究方法与方法论基础。课程内容涵盖研究设计、理论构建与假设检验、概念化与操作化、测量与指标、抽样方法、实验设计、调查研究、案例研究、比较方法、数据分析基础等。学生将学习如何提出有价值的研究问题，设计科学的研究方案，批判性地评估现有研究，并初步掌握数据收集与分析的基本技能。
This course provides a systematic introduction to research methods and methodological foundations in political science. Topics include research design, theory building and hypothesis testing, conceptualization and operationalization, measurement and indicators, sampling methods, experimental design, survey research, case study research, comparative methods, and basics of data analysis. Students learn how to formulate valuable research questions, design scientific research plans, critically evaluate existing research, and acquire basic skills in data collection and analysis.
学生选择一个政治学研究问题，撰写一份完整的研究设计方案。内容包括研究问题与研究意义、文献综述与理论框架、研究假设、概念化与操作化、研究方法与数据来源、预期分析策略等。要求研究问题明确且具有学术价值，方法选择合理且具有可行性。研究计划书字数约2500字。
Students select a political science research question and write a complete research design proposal. The proposal includes research question and significance, literature review and theoretical framework, research hypotheses, conceptualization and operationalization, research methods and data sources, and expected analytical strategy. The research question should be clear and academically valuable, with appropriate and feasible method selection. Approximately 2500 words.
